The Digital Leadership and Innovation Program brought together a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia for an intensive executive training focused on digital transformation, industrial innovation, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing leadership.
Participants represented leading Saudi institutions and strategic national organizations, including Monshaat, the Ministry of Investment, MODON, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), KACST, the Ministry of Energy, the Digital Government Authority, and industrial technology companies.
Hosted at the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIPBB), the programme combined executive keynotes, workshops, smart factory demonstrations, and industrial visits across Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem. Sessions explored topics such as AI-driven manufacturing, digital leadership, cobotics, XR technologies, cybersecurity, digital twins, industrial AI adoption, and human–AI collaboration.
Participants engaged in hands-on workshops and demonstrations within the Swiss Smart Factory ecosystem, including the Digital Lighthouse Project and collaborative robotics applications at the Swiss Cobotics Competence Center (S3C). The programme also featured contributions from experts and industry leaders from organizations such as ETH Zurich, Dassault Systèmes, RealWear, and leading Swiss innovation and manufacturing companies.
Industrial visits formed a central part of the experience, providing direct exposure to advanced Swiss manufacturing and innovation practices. Delegates visited companies including Bossard, Maestrani, Asyril, and Horage, gaining insights into automation, precision engineering, logistics, smart production systems, and innovation management. Additional visits included the Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Center, Swiss Battery Recycling Center, and the Omega Museum, highlighting Switzerland’s industrial heritage and future-focused technologies.
The programme fostered strategic dialogue, international collaboration, and knowledge exchange between Swiss and Saudi stakeholders, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader industrial transformation and innovation ambitions under Vision 2030.
